Team Member responsibilities.

We need to determine what we each should be working toward. I will continue to work on the blog presentation. I'll start a new post for ideas and suggestions. I will also look for information through the college we have chosen and offer ideas and information regarding the technology they use. Let me know what else I should be working on. Thanks

    Hi Team, I went ahead and did an outline and listed what we needed to create the information for the assignment. I chose the introduction to the research. Hope that is OK with everyone. Please look this over and tell my your thoughts. This way we can get started! Thanks, Karen

    OUTLINE
    1. Introduction of Nassau Community College. KAREN
    2. What technologies are currently in use?
    3. Management of those technologies
    Telecommunication, online, hybrid courses
    4. Any web 2.0 tools used, computer hardware and software, bandwidth concerns.
    5. Upgrade or changes for technology integration improvement for adult learners (conclusion)

      I will take the upgrade or changes for technology integration improvement for adult learners (number 5). I think this part is best for me especially because I did a live interview with an online student. I have another one lined up tomorrow with my boyfriend's sister. I can find out for them what types of changes and upgrades can be made to improve the online experience there at Nassau.

      I have already contributed to technologies currently in use and how the organization manage those technologies. I see that bandwidth has been taken already as well as upgrades or changes. I will still add and I am sure that it can enhance what another team mate put in.

    Okay, Karen. I will work on what technologies are currently in use and post something for tomorrow. I'd like to post it as a thread for any of you to comment on and add to so that we are creating more of a discussion if that's okay.

      I posted something on technologies currently in use as well. It was basically the same thing but I highlighted points I thought were important. I am still trying to figure this blogging out. I believe I put how the organization manage those technologies. Please let me know if I did it right. I will be on tomorrow afternoon because I have a meeting and should be home around 5:00p.m.

    Hi Darla, I did something that removed the Team Responsibility tag at the bottom of page. I wanted to post my part but I messed up some how. I will try again to post my part on a new page for the project. I still don't know what happened to the link at the bottom. Thanks

    Additional Team Member Responsibilities:
    Darla: For this week, I created a template for the team C blog and monitored access for team members. I also researched and participated in discussion both in the forum and thorugh the blog about the various points for the assigment this week. I was responsible for compiling the information we discussed for our final draft regarding the current technology available at Nassau Community College and inserting it into the blog document. Finally, I have continued to monitor and make changes to the blog to make it interesting and relevant.

    Shantell: This week I was responsible for writing the conclusion of the blog. It was titled Upgrade and Changes. I simply described any future upgrades and changes that should be made to Nassau Community College's online technology tools that will further implement adult learning. I had the privilege to interview two current students to ask them what new technology tool would they think would help the school's online program advance. I also posted directions for the rest of my team members for posting their section onto the same page. I am also available for any changes and improvement before the final submission.

    Karen: This week Team C started a blog and my responsibility was to ge an outline up and introductions to the discussion going. I helped compile information regarding the distance learning at NCC and the upgrades they needed to have an improved online format. I also helped with editing and posting of the assignment.

    Management of technologies:

    Registration - using the normal registration process which is based on earned credits and gives students with more credits the opportunity to select courses before students with fewer credits.

    Students should register as soon as they are allowed because course avaliability will become restricted.

    Access of course :

    Students will need a computer which has a connection to the Internet

    Computer must be a PC or a Macintosh

    Telecourse students may need access to video and/or audio playback devices

    Access to audiovisual devices and computers is available

    Online course conducted:

    email

    log in information

    Blackboard Learn 9 provision for instructor

    Features would include discussion boards, chatrooms, web links, and assignment and assessment tools.
